Dear J.J. Abrams, Why do you hate your viewers so much? What did we ever do to you? Why do you toss us this bone only to then use it to rap our knuckles and mock us? Raising more questions instead of answering the slew already there is not cute or funny. It's affected and distracting, like Tom Cruise.
Please tell the one hundred monkeys banging away on the one hundred typewriters that unrequited shmoopiness, lazy b-plots and gazing off into the distance is not a substitute for plot development.

except for the lying, and forged identity, and shooting that guy in the thigh.
It's got to be something with her father... if that isn't the crime, it's the catalyst for her happy-go-lucky-crime-spree. Everyone on this island has major daddy-issues. And evidently daddy-issues causes self-righteousness, a sense of entitlement and erroneous and zealous opinions!
So I suspect that Kate's dad was bad. She tried to run away and hurt her mama, and then blahh blah blah whatever cakes.

Interstingly enought, he is Sean's Astin's brother, who played Sam in the LOTR, in which drugy Charlie also played a hobibit ( merri)
For a moment when we saw the credits DH got te brothers confused & thougth there might be a hobbit reunion. Perhaps then, the holes in Charlie's backstory about how he left the Shire would finally be addressed.
BTW- Charlie, Claire & turniphead make a cute family!

Ha! This is awesome - I was going to say yesterday on Liz's thread that on last night's episode I was sure that some washed up actor would make an appearance. Damn I'm good!
And tourist - I had totally forgotten about the safe deposit box! Or maybe I didn't even see that episode...I just remember the one where Kate is dating the guy who holds up the bank.
And I think the Beast from Poltergeist lives in the spaceship thing with no hatch handle And they all just need to go to the light!
