my brother lost his iphone.. did not have mobile me or any tracking apps, is there anyway to find out where it is using the gps in the phone??
Yes! You download an app called find my iPhone n someone w an iPhone can track it. Not sure if it works, but I've heard! Hopefully it works!

AWWWW so sorry he lost it!!
Don't turn off service for a day and then have your brother contact his serivce provider. If the person who stole it uses it, you can try contacting the person they text or call.
