Daniel is married to the girl with the gun in the future and she is the woman in the bed. I thought in the picture that they looked similar and then he mentioned that she looked like someone he used to know before.... Except knows in the future of that conversation... which is still Daniel's past... cause its his wife! Also, perhaps that woman is also the mother of Penny... as in she might have had a child with Whitmore but that they left the island at separate times which would explain why Whitmore has aged so much where as she is still young... Okay and Charles Whitmore is paying to take care of the girl because he knew her from the days on the island. Which would mean, that perhaps he is really a good guy... I know he is an other, but I think he seemed genuinely concerned today. So if he is constantly looking for the island, perhaps it is because he was supposed to be the leader instead of Ben and that explains their rivarly. I don't believe that Ben or Whitmore is genuinely bad... I think they want the same things as the the people who survived the plane crash will come to want. Its just that they are never on the same page at the same time. I dunno... just some theories.

Interesting theory but I don't think it gets that convoluted. I think they are different people. Maybe the chick in the 50s is Daniels' mother but I don't think she's also his wife. What I DO think is that the creepy woman in the basement who talks to Ben at the end of the last episode is Daniel's mother. I totally called it last episode but after Whitmore sent Desmond to LA for Daniels' mother, I confirmed it. I drive FH crazy with my guesses. I'm usually right though!

I totally thought that the girl with the gun was Daniel's mother.....hmmmm....I'm always bad with these theories though. Also did we all just find out that Whitmore was paying for Danie;'s experiments, or did they hint at that last season?

I agree with almost everything you just said. I def think the girl with the gun is the girl in the room... but wouldnt she be older at that point? I dont know.. also I dont think charles is a good guy but I do think he cared about that girl. Remeber when he told desmond leave it alone you dont knowwhat your getting yourself into

I don't think age is relevant. Obviously the island is able to keep some people the same age forever. It can cure cancer and it can cure being paralyzed... why wouldn't it be able to keep people from aging. I think the girl would only be Penny's mother because perhaps she gave birth to Penny while on the island and then Whitmore took Penny off the island with him. That would mean that if the girl/penny's mom left the island years later, she would still be young enough to marry Daniel. Time moves differently on the island. A guy from work thinks that when Daniel was professing his love the the redhead, he was actually talking about fatherly love and that he is actually her father. That would be like the whole time age warp backwards. I still need some time to process this. I like the theory on that woman also being Daniel's mother instead of his wife. That could make a lot of sense too. I think it might be a more accurate theory than my orignal thoughts... SO confusing!

I agree that people dont age on the island, but my thingi s if it was daniels wife and pennys mom when she was in the bed wouldnt she be a lot older? As for clair we dont know what happend to her remember she disapeared in the woods and we saw her agian in the cabin with her dad aka jacks dad, and she was acting weird like she was drugged up or something. My brothers theory with her is that she died in that explsion where the otheres lived, and when ever we saw her after it was a ghost or something

I thought the same thing. The old lady talking to Ben is Daniel's mother and she is also the blonde girl with the curly hair from yesterday's episode...but who is his father???

I do believe that the woman with the gun is or could be pennys mother, regardless of anything else mr whitmore wants that woman inthe bed to be alive..... but why????
