LOST (the TV Show)

FH thinks the dog is the creature's pet. I think it was in the cargo area of the plane and got out.

My sister was freaked out by the Orange Peel guy too - I thought maybe he was just trying to lighten the mood for Kate.

FH thinks the blonde guy (Charlie, which is confusing to me because Charlie was Mathew Fox's name on Party of Five) has some kind of drug habit and had left his drugs in the bathroom on the plane.

I think the thing that affected me the most was the african american woman who's husband was in the bathroom and obviuosly didn't make it. When she was kissing her wedding band and crying I just lost it.

I was so shocked when the hour was over - I felt like I only watched it for 5 minutes!!

I watched and really liked it too. I don't know how it's going to be a weekly show...it definitely felt more like a movie. I think that a lot of things are going to unfold . I'm just not sure they are going to be believable. For example the radio not working and no one is gonna find them?

Oh my god! Thank you for this thread. I watched ity last night and was blown away. I kept asking people all day 'did you see Lost'. I cannot wait until next week. I'm also interested to see how they will keep it up week after week.

As for the creature, I think it is either a dinosaur like creature (I don't know about you but the island had a jurassic park feel to it) or an escaped prisoner who has gone berserk (the handcuffs in the coming attractions led me to that). And what's up with the dog???

I know!!

There are so many characters that I think they can sustain for a while just telling everyone's story.

Like what's the deal with the Asian couple? He seemed a little psycho.

If they focus on a couple new people each week and also have the focus on the 'monster' and building of a 'community'.

I kept telling FH it was like a grown-up Lord of the Flies. I'm sure there will be a stuggle about who the leader is and some love interests, etc.

I'm totally into it already!!

Let's hope none of us ever find out what 'realistic' would actually be for a plane crash.

As for the pilot .. who was found to be alive .. and was mentioned here as having been on Felicity .. he's also from Alias .. which is soon to start back up .. so it was no surprise when he met his final fate .. why was he trying to go out the windshield???!!!!

Regarding the dog .. I got the impression early that someone was looking for a dog .. who was in cargo .. so when they showed the dog .. I just figured it belonged to those people, and they hadn't yet found him.

And the strange guy Charlie .. why couldn't his character have been given a different name .. we kept joking through the whole episode about how he's not Charlie, because the other guy is Charlie .. Anyway .. blonde Charlie .. wasn't he the guy who ran down the aisle before the crash?? Something is up with him.

I can't see how this series is going to last more than one season .. where can they go with it .. but hey .. maybe this is the new 'Gilligan's Island' .. and Party-of-Five Charlie is the Professor!

If you see the scenes for next week...It shows that the survivors find handcuffs. I found the following on another website. What do you think?
