Lots of Dress Shopping Questions!!!!

Last weekend I went dress shopping with my best friend who opted to go to David's Bridal. I carefully looked on to see what I'd be experiencing when I start my dress shopping....

So I have some questions for girls who didn't use David's Bridal!!

My first choice is a Maggie dress...I looked through all her dresses and made a list of about 15 dresses I want to try on. Then I located stores....there are tons!! I'm willing to travel a bit for this....but I live WAY on the end of the island in Mattituck...and don't really want to travel an hour and a half if I don't have to.....

So which Maggie retailer do you all suggest? Do they provide the slip and corset like DB? Did they allow you to take pictures before you purchased the gown? David's Bridal runs small....so if your a 10, my understanding was, you'd be a 14. Does this also apply for Maggie dresses? Is the dress something you can pay off? Or do you need to pay in full upon ordering?

I think those are all my questions for now.....Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi! I would strongly suggest going to Fantasia Bridal...its in Rocky Point. They have some maggie dresses there. You can always call and see if they ahve some of the ones you want to see. When I tried on there they provided me with a slip but no corset. As for payment, Most stores require a deposit of about half when you order and then when you pick up the dress you put down the remainder of the balance. Hope this helps!

As far as Maggie's try The Bridal Suite in Bayshore....they had a bunch. Thats the only place I know out there, I knpw more in Nassau.
I did go to Davids Bridal and the dresses I ended up liking where just about the same price as my Maggie, actually my dress ended up being cheaper even with their sale!!!
Why dont you call around to the salons and ask them if they have the Maggie's that you want to try on? This is what I did.
All the places I went to gave me a slip and corset bra to try it on with. As far as the money my mom put half down, she didnt have to, when we ordered the dress and then she will pay the rest when it comes in.

i can tell u which ones ive tried on at Lilette's if thats a help. The also have a bunch of others and if you go ask for Gerri, she's the sweetest. And she's VERY patient and honest.

The Monalisa Royale, Royal Romance, Elizabeth, and Victoriana.

I'm going to the Maggie trunk show i think its the last weekend of July at Helen's in Commack, give them a call because i have heard they have a HUGE selection.

Helen's in Commack has a LOT of maggies. They are super nice there they let me take pictures before I purchased. And they gave me the trunk show price 2 months before the trunk show took place. My deposit was half of the total cost.
