Ok so Im so psyched today I met with our local grocery store, Wegmans. Well this may seem weird to those of you from LI but they do wedding flowers. They are like this huge amazing chain and very upscale. Anyways they quoted me like $400 less than the florist I was origanally going to go with, and im adding cala lillies which is something i really wanted and the other florist told me they were out of my price range.
This is finally all starting to come together....
Oh and I called around to bakers for our cake.....we are only having a small cake that serves 50 or so and a LOT of itlaian cookies and canolis and cream puffs.
The only real big thisngs I have left to do are: the limo the invites save the dates book the church which we have a meeting for on friday
Hows everyone elses planning coming along? Anyone else almost done?

congrats with the flowers...i always here great things about wegmans!! (i went to collge upstate and all my friends from upstate would talk non stop about how great that place is! haha)

I've gotten so much done in so little time! I have the hall, DJ, photographer, florist, maybe a dress (still want to look more, but, I think I found it). So, I am doing well with the big stuff.
And, there are Wegman's by us in PA, haven't been to one yet though!

Booked the photographer today. Checked off so far: Hall, Church, DJ, Photo& video. YEAH making progress feels so good. Next Limos, and the dress!!!! I am going to have to do some prep work for a day at the dresses.

the only things we have done at all are: booked the church. booked the venue. booked the band. booked the photographer and video(*well as of tomorrow) and we have our Save the Dates (we still have to finish getting all of the addresses to mail them out though)
i think it's very cool that you are getting so much done! also, i think it's great that you are getting your flowers and adding the lillies that you want. I hate when vendors tell me what is and isnt in my price range. i've had some vendors just say that without telling me how much it'd be!
I do not want a lot of flowers b/c of allergies so I think I might go to Stop and Shop or something. Grocery stores usually have really nice flowers, i dont think it's weird at all to get them there.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you gotta go they are great! Im moving to florida in September and I think that is going to be what I will miss the most is my Weggies!!!!!!! LOL

They send us coupons all the time, it's just a little far away for a grocery store! Everything will melt!

I love Wegmans!!! We used to go there for dinner in college because the one by us had an amazing food area to sit down and eat at. I didnt know they did flowers like that but great job on the savings!!!

Where did you go to college.....the one we have in Pittsford is like that......they also are the ones who do the wedding flowers.

I MISS WEGMANS!!! That's my favorite part about visiting my family upstate!!!! I wish I could start a store here in LI!
