LOTS OF PRAYERS PLEASE!!!!!!

Original post by Moonmist09

I've never had to ask before but I'm asking now

FFIL had a quadruple bypass surgery years ago. He goes for checkups every 6 months or so to make sure he is still in good shape with his heart. Last week he went and they told him he had to have an angiogram ( a procedure where the insert a camera through a vein in your grooin to check out what is going on in the heart) He was supposed to have this done today but on Sunday night he was having a lot of chest pains so they took him to the ER. They did an angioram then and were able to clean out 3 of his 4 blocked arteries during the procedure and we thought all was well, until now.

I just got a call from FH qhile he was running to the train station that the doctors have now found another blocked artery towards the back of the heart (how did they not find this during the initial angiogram?) and they are doing another angiogram now, if they can not unblock it during this procedure he will have to undergo open heart surgery tonight.

Please ladies, please, keep him in your prayers. That they can unblock his artery during the angiogram and that he does not need open heart surgery. And that if he does need surgery, that he will pull through just fine and everything will be ok.

What hospital is he at? My father had triple by-pass surgery 4 years ago at St. Francis hospital. He had 8 stents which had all collapsed. They were miracle workers for sure...
