has anyone been to either lotus bridal or alisa's bridal for their gown? i am visiting the two tomorrow and wanted to here thoughts/recommendations...

I've been to lotus bridal... they have a small selection of gowns, but they're all very pretty.
I felt sort of abandoned by the staff, however. Not too much help. They all were cooing over this other girl who was trying on her gown.
They also kept trying to tart me up in something really extravagant, when I told them I dislike really ornate gowns...
the quote was 'don't you want to look like a princess?'
I'm 34! NO. I'm over that....
to sum it up: OK place, with reasonable customer service, but not the best for girls with simple taste....

I liked Alissa's Bridal. The woman that helped me was really nice. I ended up not getting my dress there because Phyllis from Gownfind/Bridal Elegance was cheaper. My SIL got her gown from Alissa's and had a positive experience with them.
