Lovely Bones -- Do you think her time back on earth was well spent?
Original post by Valenia
Susie got a chance to come back to earth, and she spent it having sex. Do you think that was time well spent?
Should she instead have thought about putting her family's minds at ease with her time?

Another contradiction is that her overall viewpoints are so mature and objective but she seems obsessed with Ray Singh decades after her death. Why exactly? Because of the brief encounter they had? That seems very immature and in direct conflict with her very perceptive commentary about her family.

I still think because it was the only thing she had that was completely 'unfulfilled' from when she was younger - that's why it was so important to her.

I kept thinking...why isnt she going to see her family who is such agony. I am responding now because I only finished the book last night.
