Low Carb VS. Low Cal

Is anyone doing any of these with success?

I have done the Low Carb in the past with success, but recently, I have found it to be more difficult.

Any suggestions???

Hey! You sound like me. Lost 15 pounds like that in like 2 and a half weeks (I really did lose a pound a day) on the low carb thing and then its been months now that I can't seem to get back on track and its driving me crazy.;

One thing I've done in the past is to write down what I'm eating and how many carbs each. I think they say you are supposed to stay below 20 carbs so write everything down. When you do, it makes you question yourself whether or not you are really hungry to be eating something else. I really enjoy the food I eat on the low carb because I don't really eat the red meats or anything, I stick with the chicken or turkey. There are great recipes on lots of websites out there. for me, its the wine on the weekends and the eating too much of what I'm supposed to be eating thats getting me....I wish you luck!

Thanks

I will keep trying.

My mom has had a lot of success with it. She lost a total of 75 pounds in the last 2 years.

I just would really like to lose about 20-25 lbs.

My problem is that I am impatient.

Oh, I completely hear you. My goal is 30-35 so we're on the same track. If you ever need any recipes, etc. I'm more than willing. Check in every once in a while to let me know how great you are doing so I can get some motivation

I've heard good things about both, but the con about Low Carb, is that once you hit your goal, you still have to eat the same way. Once you start eating your pastas/breads again, the weight you lost will come back because your body isn't use to it.

I hate low cal because you have to sit there and count stuff. Who has time for that. However, that is the best way to go long term.

I prefer low carb for the quick weight lost solution.

I am not the biggest cook, since I don't get home unitl 730 or so, but I would love to take a look at them. I should really start to get used cooking,

And please, you do same about checking in. We can motivate each other

The Low Carb makes me soooo irritable. I saw quick results with it but in the end, it wasn't worth it. I'm not very good at restrictive eating so I'm just doing portion control. That coupled with the gym has really been giving me great results and I don't have to deny myself anything.

I hit low cal. I did the WW thing, so I figure low cal is closer to what I did.

I have tried both extensively.

Honestly, I think it a combination of both.

Watch your portion sizes (calories) and also, watch what you are eating within those portions (carbs) - Basically, don't eat white stuff! (White Bread, White Rice, White Potatoes, etc..)

It is ALL about calorie in take, portion control and balanced diets. This is the healthiest way to eat and be healthy.

I hear that low carb is for short term and low cal is for long term. Once you go off the low carb it can all pile back on.. It might be a suggestion for like right before the wedding..
