My FH is the same height as me and I really want to wear some kind of heel, but I don't want to be taller than him. Any shoes that anyone loved with a low heel that they could recommend or anywhere I could go and look? I really don't like the look of kitten heels, but I may have to go that route, TIA

Re: low heeled shoes
I am having the exact same problem! I haven't seen anything in bridal salons- they all seem to be 3 inches or higher. I'll probably end up trying to find something online.

Are you looking for something fun or practical?
I JUST sent an email to my MOH/MOM regarding some low shoes for me since I'm an inch taller than FH. Try a search on Zappos or Nordstrom which has a great selection and you can narrow it down by heel height. I also found some stuff on bridalshoes.com and myglassslipper.

I've been looking online too - even thought about getting a pair cut down - but everything is still too high! And I LOVE shoes - so I want a nice pair :(

Would he be willing to wear very discreet lifts if you really want to wear heels but don't want to be that much taller than him?

Re: low heeled shoes
I don't want to hurt his feelings or offend him, I think he could be sensitive to the issue. I think I am going to have to just find something low and cute - I've bought and returned at least 3 pairs so far!

Re: low heeled shoes
I'm kinda in the same boat. I've been searching forever for low-healed shoes that are cute. My FH is much taller than me, but I'm really tall and I need to make sure that even with the extra length, my dress is still the right length on me. So far Nina shoes and Nordstrom seem to have some decent picks, but I'm hoping that the spring will bring a new wave of bridal shoes...i hope.

Re: low heeled shoes
I got a cute pair of low heeled Dyeables on Zappos recently. I am going to continue looking just bc these are semi uncomfy on the toe area, but I could get by with them worst comes to worst. They are cute, have bling on the toe and can be dyed fuschia!

Casa Di Mario in Patchogue has a great selection of shoes, most of the dyeable with low heels

Re: low heeled shoes
I'm having this problem too...my fiance is only an inch taller than me. I was looking for a while and found these.... I got them last week and I love them -- it's hard to get anything under 2 inches that aren't a kitten heel (I'm not fan of that)
I got a really cute pair of low peep toe dyable wedges at Sandy's shoes in Massapequa. The heel is maybe an inch. and they are so super cute i love them!!

Check out David's Bridal (you can look online if you don't want to go into the store). They have shoes of all different heel heights.

Re: low heeled shoes
It wasn't so much my DH that I was concerned about (he's 5' 6' and I'm 5') but my dad. I LOVE my heels but I didn't want to tower over my dad walking down the aisle. I went on zappos and ordered a couple of pairs of shoes...since they have free shipping back and forth I did this until I found the shoes that I loved!

Re: low heeled shoes
I ended up buying another pair online last that are 2.75 inches that I'm sure I will have to return, I don't know why I torture myself! My plan is to see if I can get them cut down enough, so that they are only 2 inches, wish me luck!
