Lucille Roberts?
I NEED to join a gym after trying on my dress the other day. There's a Lucille Roberts near me - does anyone know anything about their gyms? I've never belonged to an all-women gym, not sure if it's a good or bad thing.Any info/reviews would be appreciated.
TIA

I'm a lucille junkie - what is it that you need to know? They have alot of classes - and there isn't too much of a crowd. Most of the people are really nice and supportive.

Re: Lucille Roberts?
I used to be a member and I loved it! They have so many locations and the price is right. I never had an excuse not to go because there was always a center nearby work and home.I am looking for a new gym but I am looking to join with DH. Otherwise, I would join LR. Good lUck!

Yeah I think she means Massapequa - that one is huge.I got to the one in Plainview now... I think its a bit smaller and slightly more 'worn' than the other ones, but the instructors are really good. I LOVE Jessica - she is really tough!!!

Sweetie2004, how do you like the one in Bayside? That is where I'd be joining. What are the hours like? Are the machines ok? Do they give you a consultation/measure you? Thanks so much.....

Re: Lucille Roberts?
How much does Lucielle Roberts charge to get started? I'm thinking of starting in December, when I graduate with the Masters. I'm too stressed out now. Plus, I need to be in a gym while I'm preggo. I'd probably join the one in RVC.

Re: Lucille Roberts?
I had a LR membership and I absolutely hated the that place. I used to go to the one in Flushing, Queens. Maybe the rest of them are different, but this one was the worst. They closed so early, their staff was so rude, their personal trainers were a joke and so were their classes. My experience there was so bad that I just continued paying the monthly dues and never went.I go to Dolphin fitness now and It's much better.
Sorry I couldn't be much help. I'm very anti-LR.

I just joined last night at the one in Forest Hills. They held over their Veteran's Day sale so it cost $5 to start and $38/month for a six month contract.

Thats my gym!
I haven't had the chance to go in awhile because of work. But I plan on going in the next week or so. The only thing I don't like about the gym is the hours. At night the gym is packed and they are only open until 9pm. And in the mornings they open at 8am which is too late for me to go since I have to be at work by 8:30am. Welcome New Vendors
