i went there last year to join... and i went to the one in westbury.. i did not like it at all... there are like no machines.. and it's really run down... i dunno if they upgraded it or not... but if you get their highest package.. it lets you go to any LR, but not the ones in the city, cuz she said those are nicer and better.. so i'm like *** is the point... sorry bad experience...

aww thats stinky!! i liked it there. my membership ran out in march but i just called and renewed it yay i'm so proud of myself.

My mom goes there and I went with her while I was home a few times. She goes to the one in Valley Stream. It really depends on what kind of workout you are looking for. My mom does a lot of walking on the treadmill and doesn't really do any of the weights because she has shoulder problems. But when I went I really didnt like it because I am really a gym person. I like to do tons of cardio and lifting and they didn't even have any weights heavier than 10 lbs. The machines were kind of old and run down. But I think its a great gym for either just getting back into it or if you dont do a lot of lifting. I took a couple of classes there too...they don't offer that many in my opinion. But like I said, Im a gym rat so I have pretty high standards

ETA: It could just be this particular gym too. If you really liked the one you went to, then by all means join!!

mom and i used to belong, but no more. they didnt really have what we need. now we belong to sportime and love it!

i used to belong to the one in rockville centre years ago. i like the fact its inly female but the equipment there isnt the biggest selection and they dont have late hours

I have been a member for like 5yrs. The one I go to has plasmas and all the updated machines, but the majority of the LR clubs are pretty run down. FH runs a Ballys if your interested he always has deals. FM me if you want details.
