Has anyone ever hired one of their personal trainers? Are they any good? How much do they charge and how often do you go?
I'm contemplating getting a personal trainer.
Thanks!

i used to go to them. I tried some of there personal trainers. I went through 3 before i found the right one. I think and this is back a whileit was cheaper to buy more sessions in one and then space them out ...

Which Lucille Roberts are you at? I joined in Februay but never went. I plan on going back this week because my wedding year mark is coming and I need to get in shape. I never tried their personal trainers but their prices are reasonable not like my old gym Bally's.

I switch around. If I am near work I go to the one in Plainview. If I'm at home i go to the one in Valley Stream.

if you go to the one in Valley Stream, Lena is very good. Also, I heard Tammy is really good too.

I used to have a great trainer at a lucille roberts in glen cove. For trainers I would watch how they are with their clients and see if you like his style. If you do like it interview him to see if your personalities match and go over your goals. They are usually priced reasonably $30/half hr.

Is Tammy the woman that teaches classes? I think she specializes in pre-pregnancy or something? If that is her I've taken her classes and she's great.

Tammy teaches the butt and gut classes on monday and she teaches some classes on Friday. Lena is the one that teaches belly dancing.

I never took the belly dancing one there. maybe I'll take her class. Did you find that the personal training helped?

Re: Lucille Roberts - Personal Training?
it definitely helped me isolate my muscles better. I learned to do certain moves correctly. I slacked off a bit. My friend also used her and looked great on her wedding day, much more toned.

Re: Lucille Roberts - Personal Training?
I'm thinking of getting a personal trainer so I feel forced to go to the gym. I'm pretty busy with grad school, work and soon field placement so part of me thinks that I shouldn't. hmmm...I don't know what to do.

I had a personal trainer in the past and it still did not motivate me. I usually get motivated if I am going away and need to get in shape, but it is hard when you are in school because you are exhausted. I am in the same boat-You have to push yourself. I have not even gone to the gym yet and my FH is going all the time, I have no excuse, but so lazy.

I have been with my trainer for 1 1/2. It really keeps me motivated. I pay 22.50 for 1/2 hour.
