Hey girls! Last night we FINALLY placed our order for our album [phewww]
But now we can't choose which type of album to do. We're getting a digital mounted to edge album, but now we don't know what kind of cover to wrap around it...
I want the lucite cover [the front is lucite, and the back is leather which wraps around the spline and covers a bit of the front]- kind of like this:
DH wants the traditional leather cover- like this:
Which way should I go? Traditional & classic, or modern?!?! I kind of like how the 1st page will show through the cover, and they will incorporate our info on to that page [as opposed to having the leather cover embossed with the info]

The lucite looks really cool .... BUT if it gets dropped on the floor or something by accident, I would be afraid of it cracking.

That's why we're leaning more towards leather.. we're also concerned that it'll scratch. The sample album they have at my photographer is beat up and constantly touched and looked at and still looks good though! Also- lucite is very hard to break! I work with acrylic all the time and it's a friggin huuuuge process to slice it and break it.
Im so damnnnn indecisive!!!!! He shouldve never given me the options!

I'm not too crazy about those... I like leather albums with just embossing on it.. it's a very clean cut look. IDK!!! ARGH!

I hear ya! DH likes classic too so we are making ours and will eb using the leather with the small space for a photo despite my wanting to make the book jacket. He is concerned about fingerprints.
I personally would lean towards lucite. It does scratch eventually but that sucker is HARD! I have a frame made of it and it gets knocked down all the time by the cats and is still fine. I'd do the lucite.

dude seriously go with the leather...the lucite looks cheap...it looks like a school binder....its kinda cool to see the first pic but i stil lthink u should go traditional on this one.....can u get a window to display a pic??

Im leaning more towards the leather too, but the lucite doesnt look cheap.. it's really friggin cool actually! That's just the only sh!tty pic I could find in google lol.. The actual sample they have at Gray is hoooooot. I think I'm leaning more towards leather though.
