I like samsonite. But I've heard atlantic is also good. For those of you who registered for luggage, did you do full sets, or just some individual pieces?

Samsonite is very good but Atlantic is just as good and cheaper. The thread count and quality are practically identical.

i love samsonite, but you can get it for less at www.1stluggage.com and at overstock - but anytime i've ordered luggage from overstock, they've screwed it up, so i wouldn't recommend them, but 1stluggage is great :)

I am a huge fan of samsonite! I have some pieces that have seen many a luggage carousel and are still rolling along!

Re: LUGGAGE....

I still haven't registered for luggage yet. I went to Macys and was boggled by the prices for luggage sets. The salesperson told me that if we were going to travel internationally then we needed the heavy duty ones. I tried to explain that my parents gave me a set 10 years ago from the Price Club that had taken me all over the world with no problems....the idiot had the nerve to argue with me...said then why do I need new luggage if the old ones have held up for so long. So then I got on the defensive and started explaining that it was teal and pink and that it didn't have wheels and a telescopling handle....at this point he got annoyed and walked away....so no...no luggage and sorry no help...sorry to hijack your post just needed to vent

Mom said she saw some nice luggage sets at TJ Max
