What kind of luggage did you register for? I need some ideas...I don't really love the stuff they have at Fortunoffs....

We didn't register for luggage because I bought FH a set for Christmas (or his birthday???) two years ago - a Samsonite high denier set... and I've been rocking my own Samsonite set for about 7 or 8 years now and it's STILL going strong (and I travel with it a few times a year).
So, I would suggest Samsonite. Some of it is pricey, but definitely not as pricey as Tumi or other good brands.

we didn't register for luggage, but we had 2 people give us luggage. One set was from Sam's club, a 5 piece samsonite set for $150. Very nice deal!!!

We're registering for a Samsonite set. It is $$$ but it lasts forever. I still have my 2 pieces from my first Europe trip in high school and the work great!

We got Atlantic luggage when we got married. We registered for it at Fortunoffs. The nice thing about it is that it has a lifetime guarantee and they actually do fix it for you- my brother got married 4 years before me and has atlantic luggage also and one of their pieces broke (thanks to the airlines machines) and they shipped it or brought it to atlantic and they fixed it for them. It's really nice sturdy luggage... I haven't had any problems with ours.

We registered for Swiss Army at Macys. Its really nice, insanely durable and a wee bit on the expensive side. But after checking a lot of stuff out we decided to go for it. It worked awesome on our honeymoon and other trips since. They are worth checking out.
