What sizes do you girls think I need to register for?
The set I originally picked today didn't get such great reviews and of course the one with the better reviews is much more expensive.
There's a 29', 26', 22', and 20'.

Re: Luggage
I think 29' is good for going away on longer vacations like Europe and the 26 inch you will get more use out of cause it's good for a week. I'm not big on having smaller luggages cause I usually just use a tote for carry on. It's more preference.

I'm reading that some people say not to go with the 29' because of the 50lb. limit and it's 14 lb luggage to start with. This is what's confusing me. Not sure if I should just get 2- 26' instead.

Re: Luggage
We have 2-29's but they're a pain because depending on what you pack you'll exceed the 50lbs weight limit. We went to Italy for 10 days and my suitcase JUSTTTTT made it. FH had to take stuff out of his.
I would say 2 - 26s, 2 - 22s(carryon size) and 1 - 29 just so you have it.

Re: Luggage
the largest upright i registered for was 27in. I agree with the other girls, the 29 might be too big, I actually think the 27 might be too big too, but the suitcase empty is really lightweight.
Did you think about a rollong duffel?

Re: Luggage
I would suggest going to Macy's or any place that sells luggage so you can feel the weight of some of them. Some are very lightweight and some are heavy without clothes so you might go over 50 pound max. Well I know I would the way I pack lol. One Samsonite style was super light but another style was heavy.

Re: Luggage
DO NOT GET THE 29' - unless you want to pay per pound for your overweight luggage. If you fully pack a 25' it will be about 50lbs - anything over that weight you pay! And I think that 21' is the max for carry-ons, so I wouldn't go over that size - in your case go for the 20'.
After much reasearch, and speaking with several family members who travel by plane a lot your best bet is 2 25' and 2 20'.
