Now that we're house poor, I'm bringing my lunch to work everyday to save money. I am getting so sick of sandwiches though and all this bread can't be that good for me. Any ideas to help change up my lunches? I am a kitchen idiot so anything has to be easy, cheap and quick!! THanks.

Re: Lunch Ideas???
How about using tortilla wraps instead of bread. They are low in fat and you can have fun with them. This is one wrap I love:
Deli-quality Turkey or chicken breast cold cuts Muenster cheese Salsa Chopped tomatoes Lettuce Tortilla wrap (I like Mission brand)
You can heat it up for a min or two in micro if you want it hot--
OR
SMART ONES frozen meals.....works in a pinch, low in fat, easy, quick and cheap.

I take smart ones sometimes but i'm usually still hungry! I like the wrap idea though. Anyone else? Doesn't anyone bring lunch?

Re: Lunch Ideas???
I bring lunch all the time because I'm too busy at work to order out, plus I don't have a lot of money. I usually bring left overs from dinner the night before. But I also include a small snack bag of fresh veggies, like pepper strips, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, green beans, celery, olives. I make about 3 bags at a time so when I pack my lunch the night before, it takes less time. Sometimes I will make a salad and throw in a half-can of tuna in there. I always put my salad dressing in a pill container (from the pharmacist) so my spinach or lettuce does not get soggy.

I make chicken salad- I use the george formen grill to cook the chiken breats. Cut them up into strips or bites, throw it on the lettuce/salad and put the dressing in a little container then mix at lunch. its a great healthy lunch-and not boring at all
