My dog was bite by a tick a few weeks ago. I took her to the vet and they tested her for lyme & I get a call Sat saying that it came back a low positive for lyme. Hes going to call me back today after he talks with internal medicine. I feel so sad. Anyone know anything about lyme disease?

I don't know much about it pertaining to animals, but my Dad had it years back and he is fine now. Just had to do 40 days of antibiotics.

I have a few friends who have contracted it from tick bites. It's not the end of the world. Your pup will probably need some meds though.

I heard about the medicine. I just feel so bad. Plus Im going to be away from her while im at the hospital with the baby. thanks for well wishes

I don't know about it in animals, but I had it when I was a kid...just had to take hardcore antibiotics. I dunno if this will happen for a dog, but it made me crazy sun sensitive and I got terrible sun burns all over my face that ended up scabbing.

Aww that's terrible. I know my cousin was bit and contracted it a few years back, but he's fine now. I hope your pup is okay!

I had it two years ago. I was on a heavy dosage of antibiotics that made me vomit. We switched to a different kind. 30 days later, I was cleared but I still get phantom arthritis pains every now and again.
