M. Kauffman

For the two months I've been reading and posting on this board - which has been TREMENDOUSLY helpful - and I have chosen to ignore all the 'anonymous' posts directed at brides and vendors. My sense is, the anti-Mark Kauffman poster is the same person, who just can't let it go...posting over and over again. It's probably another photographer annoyed that Mark gets so much attention!

As a bride-to-be in her mid-30's, working full-time and going to school full-time, while looking for a house and planning a wedding, I might add, may I just say GROW UP and move on to something more constructive...like, say...planning a wedding?!?

I have never met Mark Kauffman, he's not my photographer, brother, uncle or dad. I'm not defending his presence here, I'm merely pointing out that we all make our own decisions about who gets our hard-earned money. If he's into self-promotion and you loathe it...ignore him. Many brides clearly appreciate his input and expertise. Incidentally, I've read dozens of his postings that have absolutely nothing to do with photography.

Lawdy, I've already put too much thought into this post...

If some posters feel that it is strange that Mark has time to post and feel he is self promoting his business - the easiest answer is 'DONT READ HIS POSTS' and 'DONT HIRE HIM'

I think there is a big difference between being proud of your work and interested in the industry than shameless promotion. It seems Mark falls into the former category.

I only wish more vendors would share their experiences and advice with clueless brides like me. I certainly can take their words with the knowledge of who they are and make competent decisions based on my own feelings.
