Any past Brides have their wedding makeup done by Mac in any of the malls?
Just curious if you were happy with how they did your makeup and if it lasted all day.
Thanks!

I am talking about the ones that are free. They just require that you spend $50.00 on products. Which I think is so worth it! I haven't seen prices for Bride's makeup cheaper than $125 so I was curious how they do and if it holds up.

Re: Mac Makeup
I have a trial at MAC in about 2 weeks. The trial is free but it is $175 for bride's makeup (which includes traveling to you on your wedding day). I'll post results after I go!

Re: Mac Makeup
I had my makeup done by a woman who formerly worked at MAC. She used all MAC, except for the concealer. It lasted and she did a great job.
Good Luck!

$175??? I am so confused. I went in there the other day and I asked them what they charge for Brides and she told me nothing...all I have to do is buy $50.00 worth of products.

are you sure that wasn't for just the trial? Plus sometimes you need more product, but $50.00 is just the minimum. If you need anothe product it can start adding up. I know the concealer and a blush can cost $50.00 let alone eye make-up, lipstick, glower, etc...

Re: Mac Makeup
Jenn Tomeo from MAC Bayshore did my makeup. Not colors I would normally wear and that was my decision it went well with my dress and looked awesome. Minimum is $50 but somehow you walk out of there and I spent $180
For some reason picture won't post it's in my album- under tara's wedding.

Re: Mac Makeup
In a friend's wedding we had the mac makeup counter girl come to her house - i don't think they are supposed to do this, but during our trial we asked her on the sly... she brought a friend too... makeup lasted the whole day and looked awesome!

Re: Mac Makeup
In my opinion, MAC is the best makeup product out there, so if you end up spending over $100 in buying the products just so you can get your makeup done by them, it's definitely worth it!!!! Think about it, many people spend hundreds of dollars getting their makeup done for the wedding, and they don't get to keep the product. At least here, it sounds like you get to keep the product because you have to buy it.

I'm sure. I have gone to roosevelt field mall before and asked at the mac store how much they charge for someone to do your make up for the night. She said it's free but you just have to purchase $50.00 of products.
I went to the new Mac store just a couple of weeks ago, in the Smith Haven mall and I asked the women the same thing and she gave me the same answer. Then I asked her what about Brides...is it different for Brides....she said 'NO, we do anyone's make up just as long as you buy $50.00'. She told me if I wanted to come in for a trial...it would be just $50.00 worth of products. That's what they told me.
So I think it's worth spending the money if you get to keep the products.

Do you have to go to them or are they able to come to you on the day of the wedding?

I don't know the answer to this question, but I'll check on that one. I would think if they come to you the prices would be completely different.
