macaroni and cheese recipes?

Kraft Mac & Cheese??!!


Just kidding .. I couldn't resist! I'd actually be interested in a mac & cheese recipe, too!

There were a bunch of Mac and Cheese recipies posted in July on the recipe board. Sorry but I don't know how to attach a post!

I boil my macaroni in butter and milk not water.

I use:
butter
salt
pepper
sharp cheddar
mild cheddar
mozzarella
1 egg to bind and milk.

Prep: 25 min; Bake: 25 min

Mix up your cheeses! Try Vermont white Cheddar, or even a mixture of half sharp Cheddar and half Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers, in this great-tasting comfort food.

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (7 ounces)
1/4 cup butter or stick margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (8 ounces)

1. Heat oven to 350°.

2. Cook macaroni as directed on package.

3. While macaroni is cooking, melt butter in 3-quart saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted.

4. Drain macaroni. Gently stir macaroni into cheese sauce. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.

Has anyone ever had Patti LaBelle's Mac n Cheese?> OMG..it has like 10 dif cheeses.. I call it 'heart attack in a bowl'
