Macys?

Has anyone been to Macys Bridal dept (smithaven / lake grove)

If so:
Price range?
Is it worth it ?
Quality?
is it just demetrios label?
Do you need an appt?

no but I heard some of the girls on here have and they had good reviews for them. I went to the one in Manhassett and it is very good and priced well.

I bought my dress at Macy's in Smithhaven. Had a great experience! If you go, ask for Doreen. She is very honest and down to earth. My dress is Demetrios but from the cosmobella line and I think the prices are very reasonable. If you have any other question, feel free to fm me.

They are strictly Demetrios. The prices arent terrible. I worked with Gina. I went to school with her so I wanted to make sure that she was my consultant. Theyre really nice. Youd be better off with an apt though. Good luck!

been there for bridesmaids...was disappointed because the tailor isn't always there and especially is NOT there on weekends...can't make it there on a weekday with work and no one ever specified when the girls got their dresses ordered...wound up needing to go somewhere else for alterations which was a big hassel

I bought my dress from there! Like the other girls are saying they are strictly Demetrios. I felt like the selection was very vast especially since it's only one designer. Prices are resonable - the most expensive dress I tried on was 2500. If you order your dress during a trunk show (which is often) you get 15% off of your order. I worked with Noreen (not sure if that's who 2012nyebride worked with since sounds similar to Doreen) and she was amazing! I felt like she was almost like a 2nd mom/best friend to me. Very personable and made the experience so enjoyable! I highly recommend looking there!

Oh and - you don't need an appointment but I'd recommend making one just in case. as far as quality: the lace on my dress is a much higher quality than the lace on multiple dresses i tried on at village bridal.

Im actually going there tonight I think. Didnt think I would like the Demitrios dresses but I tried one on at another salon and really liked it. Figured I might as well try on some more.

they do carry bridesmaids dresses that aren't demetrios - at least manhasset does, not sure about the other Macys. i dont know if you were going for bridal or bridesmaids or both :)

I agree The Manhasset Macy's has other designers not many but it's not only Demetrios. I got my gown there but the designer wasn't Demetrios.

I went last night to the smithhaven Macy's. Noreen was my consultant. She was amazing, such a different experience from the bridal suite in centereach. I'm going back next week to show my MOH the 3 dresses I loved. Def going back to work with Noreen.

If you go to Manhassett Allyssa is the girl who helped me. She is really nice and she is actually getting married herself.

Noreen is a doll! I didn't get my dress there, but she was very sweet and patient!

I went to Manhasset this weekend for my first time dress shopping. I found two dresses that I loved, which were both around $1200 before the trunk show discount of 15%. I called for an appointment that morning, so I didn't request a consultant and ended up with a woman with a heavy accent that I couldn't fully understand. Other than that, it was a great experience. I had so much fun trying on the dresses!
