Macy's and BBB return policies??

Macy's and BBB return policies??

Does anyone know Macy's and BBB's return policies if you are registered there? I am really mad, because I returned something at Macy's the other day and got $44 dollars for it. I just checked my registry and the original price is $90 and the sale price is $60. I told them it was from my registry, but I didn't bring a receipt with me (of course I had one at home but didn't think I needed it ). What is the deal? It's too late now, because I threw out the return receipt and used the store credit, but I just had my shower, and I plan on returning more duplicates.

If you don't have a receipt, many times you get the lowest price in the past 60-90 days when you return items - since Macy's has a lot of sales, that's probably what happened.

I didn't have any problems with BBB when I returned duplicates right after my shower but, I did return some wine glasses after the wedding to BBB, they were $20 when I registered for them and I only got back $6!!!

If u don't bring the reciept to Macy's (or anywhere really) u'll get the lowest price that it's at....BBB u can actually return stuff for cash. But ALWAYS bring ur reciepts! u'll avoid any problems they might wanna throw at u.

I returned stuff at Macy's for store credit without any problems with regards to price but i did have the gift receipt.

I was able to return without a receipt for items at BBB that were on my registry for cash without a problem, but they were items that wouldn't have been on sale before or after my wedding.

I know many stores have policies were if you do not have a receipt you get the current price, this has happened to me a couple of times at the Gap.

BBB will give you cash if it's on the bridal registry.

Macy's will give you the lowest price no matter if it is or isnt' on the registry

try returning it to BBB for store credit (even if you'd bought it at Macy's)

i had no problems when we returned @ BBB after our engagement party. i only just got started at macy's, so i can't speak for them. BBB let us return an item that was bought off the registry (but added on by them after it was purchased) and gave us full list price.

My wedding is only 5 months away! We really need to start registering in the next couple of weeks!

Any type of store you return something to will usually give you back whatever the price is at the time or the lowest price, unless you bring the receipt.

BBB is amazing! They pull up your registry and go by that for prices/quantities.....Macy's and Fortunoff are known to be troublemakers lol
