We ordered my BM dresses at Macys in Sept and we are still waiting for them to come in (which should be fine). Did anyone else get BM dresses there? How were the alterations? Were they pricey? My sister got hers in Florida (she lives there) then had it altered here in Williston park for 65$. The tailor was really great. SOOOOO I am trying to decide if the BMs should just go there.. I have a pic of me in the dress in my albumn. Sorry this is so long. Thank you.

Re: Macys Bridal BM dresses
When I was in my sister-in-law's wedding 4 years ago, we had gotten the bridesmaid dresses at Macy's. Unfortunatey, I can't remember how much the prices were for alterations. I'm thinking it wasn't too expensive, because if it was, I feel like I'd remember that. But I think I've read on other postings (could be wrong), that Macy's doesn't have a cap for alterations, whereas there are other places that will cap out how much they'll charge. So depending on the person and how much work needs to be done, it could end up costing a lot of money. I guess maybe give Macy's a call and ask them for an estimate or the avg price for alterations. If it seems like it'd be more than the $65 place you know, then I'd say bring it to that $65 place.
I might be having my BMs order their dresses from Macy's, so I plan to inquire about alterations myself. I might go during Christmas week to check it out. If I get any more info, I'll pass it on.

Re: Macys Bridal BM dresses
My girls ordered their bm dresses from Macys in August (Still not in yet either).
Macys does not have a cap so I might have my girls bring them someplace else if it is too expensive, but we will try Macys first and see what they charge

Re: Macys Bridal BM dresses
Do you know if Macy's will charge a fee if they start to at least look at the dresses to decide what needs to be done for altering?
Cause I know for my wedding dress it says there's $20.00 pinning fee - if they begin to pin the dress (for alterations), but then I decide to take it elsewhere.
