I am in love with a gown that I saw in Macy's Bridal Herald Square but i didn't like the service too much! I called the one in Manhasset and they told me they carry the gown as well!! Now Macy's is willing to negotiate the price...for those of you who have been to the manhasset one or gotten their gowns there do they negotiate too?? let me know and if there are other suggestions please feel free to share them TIA

I had a nightmare experience with them with bridesmaid dresses. The alterations were a mess. They ruined two of the four dresses...and all four were dirty when we received them back. The brides dress alterations were fine, but the dress came back with a pin dot stain on it. I just wouldnt ever deal with them again. I know a few stores on LI do carry demitrios gowns, and for cheaper than macys. I would call around!!

For my BF's wedding we got out BM dresses there and we had trouble also. The girl who was helping us almost ordered the wrong color. They messed up the MOH's dress and they wanted to charge crazy prices for the alterations. As soon as the dresses came in my friend picked them all up and we had our alterations done elsewhere. Also another thing is because the are a department store they require the full payment at the time of order so that kind of su*ked too.

DO NOT buy from macys.... their prices are inflated and their alts are expensive.... i found my demetrios originally in macys lake grove... and actualty also tried it on in all the other macys and i got it for about $300 cheaper at burtons... call burtons and ask for a quote on the gown

I bought my dress at Macy's in Manhasset actually. I paid in full, up front so they gave me a discount. And, the woman I worked with was super nice, friendly, helpful and PATIENT. I tried in 2 dresses back and forth, back and forth for 2 hours until I decided on a dress. I recommend going in there.

I bought my dress at Macys in Manhasset. The customer service isn't terrific but my sister was buying my dress and was going back to NC so we didnt have time to shop around. I have heard the same about prices, so make sure you shop around for price comparisons before settling with Macy's.
