Macy's Bridal Salon by Demetrios in Manhasset

Has anyone bought there dress here? If so was there a lot of choices under $1000 and is it true that you can use a Macy's coupon?

I bought my dress from Smithhaven Mall Macy's and loved the sale people there and the selection was great. To be honest there were so many great dresses there it was really hard for me to pick 'the one'. I haven't been to Manhasset though, but I'm sure it's as good.

I have heard the staff was snotty/ not helpful in Manhasset, and much more helpful in Smith Haven.

I went there.. they were very nice to me... i didn't even have an appt and they took care of me anyway... there dress prices are very reasonable and they actuually have a trunk show coming up at the end of the month so you can get a dress for under $1000

They were very nice to me and very patient when I went to try on dresses. I ended up not buying my dress there but my mom did. She has had a good experience so far. I bought my BM's dresses at Macy's Herald Square and other then measuring my BM's incorrectly, everything was ok as well.

Macy's does price match - btw. Not sure about the coupons but you can use your Macy's credit card.

I went looking for a dress there as well. The ladies were very nice and I found my dress there. The price was under $1000 but alterations put it over. I went to Burtons and told them the style # and they gave me a better price for the dress and alterations. I ended up ordering it from Burtons.

I bought my dress from there, It was over $1000 but not that much. I went to the truck show and got a good discount. They have lots of dresses. The staff was nice. Betty helped me and listen to what I wanted and found great dresses for me. What I really liked was her honesty and there was no pressure. Just some advice I called to see if I could get a swatch and the person on the phone gave me completely wrong information, so if you go there try to either speak with ther person who helped you or the manager ,who is really nice. The only bad thing about Macys Manhasset there is no capp on alterations so it can get expensive.

Be careful w/ Manhasset! My MOH got her dress there, and we thought they were great! They did her alterations perfectly, etc. When we went to take her dress home, they decided that she had never completely paid for her dress! They keep REALLY bad records b/c she had paid for it, and in cash too! And b/c she paid in cash, MOH had no receipt (she had thrown it out b/c she stupidly assumed all was fine). They refused to let her take her dress home with her! She had to call them the next day when the girl oh-so-sweetly decided she could get her dress and forget about the money (that she never owed). Never again!!!

Went to Macy Manahsset 2 weeks ago with my daughter. They told me they do not honor any Macy's coupons but if you pay up front, they wiil discount 20%. However, I'm finding that in the case of the dress my daughter liked, it was $1600 which was way over retail...per The Wedding Center in Commack - which I'm not to confident in. They carry Demetrios also.

I bought my dress from there, and so far everything has gone nice and smoothly!!! Mine is over $1,000, but they definitely have a big range of dresses for many different prices. I had checked out dresses I liked on the website and went in there with a list. I didn't have an appt or anything, just walked in on a Friday night, and they started helping me. They pulled what they had (which was a majority of them), and the girl also pulled a dress for me that she thought would look good on me. They were really good with explaining the details on the dresses and what looked good for my body type. In the end, I ended up choosing a dress that I had found on the website and it was the first one I had tried on.

My sister-in-law had gotten her dress from there a few years ago, which was under $1,000, and we had gotten our BM dresses from there too for her wedding, and everything worked out well then.

If you pay in full up front, they will give you 20% off your dress. Also, if you're a knot.com member, they give a 20% discount too. And check out Demetrios' website for trunk shows in Manhasset. Usually all the dresses are discounted (I think 15%) during the trunk shows. Unfortunately, you can't combine a bunch of these discounts - like you can't get the 20% knot.com discount, and the 15% trunk show discount (for a total of 35%). You can only get one of these discounts when buying. I never heard about using the Macy's coupons there - I'm thinking you can't because this place is more renting space inside Macy's, rather than totally part of Macy's - so I don't think they go by the Macy's sales, coupons, etc.

I had paid in full up front, using my credit card, and got the 20% discount. Some of my family was telling me not to do that, but considering I had dealt with them before for my brother's wedding, I felt ok paying and getting it over with. And everything has worked out with that. Obviously, keep your receipt!

I know you can't take pictures there when trying on the dresses. But after you've purchased the dress from them, they're usually pretty good about letting you take pictures then.

I recommend checking them out!

That's what I heard too, but I don't know firsthand. I bought ny dress in Macy's Smith Haven and they were great...I ordered it during a trunk show and got 15% off my dress, my veil (it matched the dress) and tiara
