my dress will need major changes i think to stay up and fit the way i want it to so i want to make sure that the alterations department is really really good.

I got my dress at Macys in Lake Grove and the girl told me I didn't have to get my alterations done there and seemed like she was encouraging me to go elsewhere so now I'm nervous! lol

I just had my alterations done there for my wedding two months ago. I used a seamstress named Elena I believe. She was great. My mom makes gowns and she was extremely pleased with her work and my dress needed A LOT of work. The seamstress said she took it in 5 sizes! I really expected the alterations to be a lot of money because that's what I keep hearing from other people. I had two dresses. I needed more work done on the one at Macy's and it was cheaper than the alterations on the other. If you would like FM me and I will check my receipt and tell you how much they were and double check the seamstresses name! HTH
