Sorry you had a bad experience with them. I also didn't have the most positive experience with them either.

Re: Macys Manhasset Bridal Horrible
Thanks for posting this! I haven't started looking for my dress yet but that was one of the top three places that I had planned to go to. . .Any reccomendations for better places around that vacinity? I'm already planning on hitting Bridal Reflections, either the one in Carle Place or Massapequa.

Re: Macys Manhasset Bridal Horrible
That was my situation. I was an OOT bride, my bridal party (minus 1) all live on LI. My sister is a resident (graduating today
) at North Shore/LIJ, so she lives right around the corner. They kept telling me when the BM dresses were coming in, then when that date passed I called a week later and they told me another date, well that date passed, etc.... (get the picture). Then my sister called (MOH) and they wouldn't even talk to her because she wasn't the bride. She kept telling them that SHE paid for the dress, therefore it was HER dress, not the brides dress, and why wouldn't they give her any information? She even went there in person. When the dresses came in, they also kept telling her she couldn't take the dress until the bride came in to confirm they were the correct dresses. HELLO.....????? I don't even LIVE on LI!

Re: Macys Manhasset Bridal Horrible
I'm sorry you girls had a bad experience.......I had a wonderful experience with them...they were great when I was trying to pick a dress, not pushy at all, showed me different styles and let me go home with out buying to think about...I was not sure which dress I wanted and one was $1,000 more than the other and they didn't try to push the expensive one on me.....when i decided, I came back they took my measurement and ordered my dress (note: I ordered my dress in late December for April - 4 months)....dress came in end of March...no problems with dress and veil.
I hated how I looked (more because I felt fat) ...they let me come in several times to try it on with different bras and were there for me while I was in tears not liking myself. The only thing was that alterations were expensive...but overall experience was WONDERFUL!

They ordered my Moms dress and it came in wrong FOUR TIMES. They were horrible. We got our money back (had to fight to the death for that) and then went somewhere else.

Re: Macys Manhasset Bridal Horrible
I had my first dress fitting there the other night. I was dreading it bc I was scared my dress had come in wrong. I had put the top of one dress and the bottom of another and messed w/the beadwork a little. So i was scared they didnt get it right....Well they DID get it right..but the top was sooooo big.....and the seamstress was a nasty/rude one. I told her I just wanted to wear the cups and shes like NO u have to wear a bra...all nasty...i didnt like that part. n then she got nasty w/my mother.

They were rude to me too! And I was the only customer in the salon. I was trying on very expensive gowns too and after 20 minutes, I left one of the gowns in a heap on the floor and my mom and I walked out.

My sister got married in March 2003 and she went to Macy's Bridal in Manhasset. We loved it there because her dress was so original, and the ladies were excellent. It seemed like they were so anxious to help. I don't know if they re-staffed in the past few years, but I remember my sister LOVING them and recommending them to anyone she knew looking for a gown.

I went there when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and was helping my friend pick out a wedding dress. I agree they were quite rude.
