i made an apt with them for yesterday and i was so excited since my mom was comming and this was her 1st time comming with me trying on wedding dresses,,,,
welll #1 the lady was rude,.... i stillllll dont even know her name,,,, she tried to pick out dresses for me and when i told her i didnt want lace EVERY DRESS she brought me had lace!!! then i pick out a dress and shes like ' oh that wouldnt look good on your body' who the F&^k asked her.... then she gives me another dress which i tried on cuz my mom loved it and i felt sooooo nasty in the dress i felt 3x's bigger then i was and hated the dress i tried to take it off and the lady kept telling me ohh keep it on walk around its perfect for you and your body i told her about 4 times i want to get out of the dress she still didnt listen so i had to literally raise my voice and say ' i hate the f(c*ng dress help me take it off ': before she unclipped it and helped me.. every two minutes someone else would walk in and she would run to help them what was the point of an appointment if she disappeared every minute??
i was so pissed that i just stormed back into the fitting room and changed and was like mom lets go... the lady was like wait wait do you want me to order a dress for you? IS SHE 4 REAL??
on top of all that since she apparently was the only one there she wanted me to change in the main part where the dresses and the lil step things were and there was 4 people there including 2 GUYS!! and she wanted me to take the dress off and stand there in my bra waiting for her cuz she couldnt go back and forth into the rooms...
ive been to so many bridal places and neverrrrr did anyone treat me like that nor embrass me my experience there was the worst!!! and i would NOT recommend it to anyone.... the macys on 34th street was 1,000 times better and i didnt even have an appointment there...
ahhhhhhhhh sorry ladies totally had to vent i was so pissed my face got all red and everything i had to storm out of there...

honeslty I would call and complain.... speak to someone... Macys is a huge retailer or bridal gowns.... you never know maybe they will offer you some kind of discount if you do find a dress you like with them
BTW i mean calle Macy's headquaters not the actual store I wouldn't be surprised if they send you a gift card ro something
Sorry that happend to you, hope you have better luck at the next place...

i went to manhasset too... sorry your lady ******. mine was ehh. only annoying that was that she wanted to keep me in the dress a long time...as if after 5 minutes i would magically fall in love. and she asked if i really needed my mom to make a decision? ugh.

There is no excuse for that kind of treatment at all! I would definitely call and complain. That is totally ridiculous. I'm glad you left and didn't put up with that crap.

I'm sorry you had such a horrible dress shopping experience, but don't let what happened their taint you. There are many other stores that we treat you great, so keep looking and I'm sure the next place will be better.

I haven't heard the best things about the manhasset stores, I hear the other locations are much better and more accomodating. I'm sorry that happened.

That is terrible. I would def call Macy's with a complaint. I wouldn't wish that lady on any of these. Shopping for your gown should be a very special experience and she should know that.

First, I am so sorry you had a bad experience! I would defenitly call and speak to the manager just to let them know about the situation. I would be very upset too!
I never went to the one in Manhasset, but me and my mom did stop in Macy's at the Smithhaven Mall, we didn't have a great experience as well. They kept calling themselves Macy's, at that time, I did put a deposit on a dress (bad move). Few hours later, I told my mom - the woman was very abrupt and I really don’t want to commit right now, and we should have waited. So, we ended up calling to cancel it was only hours later and the woman gave us a very hard time, my mom had documentation on their cancellation policy, and all they said is we are not Macy's - we are Demetrios, we just rent space from Macy's. My mom's argument was if that is the case why did you use my Macy's card for the deposit! It was not a great experience, luckily my mom was able to get her money back…relief! But, I have not heard the greatest reviews but I am sure every experience is different, some have wonderful experiences at these salons while others not so great - I guess it all depends on the bridal consultant.
I ended up buying my dress from Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, it may be a little far depending where you live - it's far for me actually - but they were wonderful!

Re: MACYS MANHASSET VENT SORRY a bit long
Yes, Paradise Bridal is very far! I am commuting all the way from Howard Beach! But, I loved everyone there! So friendly, and they make you feel very comfortable too! My bridal consultant is so nice (Patty S.) - love her! Just so patient, not pushy at all! Its been great so far! That's great that you loved them too and plan to buy your dress there!! Maybe, I misunderstood - but they don’t carry Demetrios? Or did you say they carry everything but David's (looking at both of your posts now)?
