Good idea or bad idea? I'd like some insight from those of you who used Macy's because I've heard a mix of things. Thanks! ~Jessica

Re: Macy's registry
We have a registry with them and no problems so far. THe only thing I don't like is that their stores aren't what they used to be. They're messy and not always fully stocked. And to be honest, if I went back and did it again, I would have done Bloomies instead.

Re: Macy's registry
A good friend of mine registered at Macys and she had no problems at all. She told me to go to the roosevelt field store, though, because they have a better selection.

Re: Macy's registry
I'm registered at Macy's. I kinda wish I did Fortunoff instead. My cousin was regitered at Macy's and when I went to get her a gift a couple weeks before the shower everything that was left on her registry was either discontinued or not in stock. It was really annoying and waste of time. I'm not sure what to do about it. I guess you can just keep on top of it. I don't know if this happens everywhere. I also thought Macy's had better prices than Fortunoffs but the more I look at things at both, I really don't think it is true at all.

Re: Macy's registry
a good family friend of mine..... the last shower i went to was registered at MACY'S
at her shower she ended up with doubles and triples of SEVERAL things.... people at the shower were talking about how much this happens at MACY'S just something to think about
also fortunoff has everything and more that macy's has and fortunoff gives you a free soup bowl with your china (which usually values at about $50-80 depending on your china) forunoff usually has better prices too

this happened with my mom's gift ( i forgot about that). someone got the couple the same set of pots & pans as she did and they both swear that they told the cashier to take it off the registry.
macy's also gives a free vegetable bowl with your place settings and a free crystal glass after you buy 11 glasses and all that other stuff. they actualy also just started a great bridal club. you get 5% back on anything purchased off your registry plus 10% back on anything (doesn't have to be wedding related) that you purchase with your macy's card while you are registered there. I forgot to mention that. it seems like a really good program. definitely check it out.
