Macy's registry

So of course, two months before my shower, Macy's decides to discontinue all of our platters and servewear and half of our casual dinnerware. Anyone else have this happen? I REALLY don't want to go back to the store and find something else, I picked that one because we like it. BOOOOO!

I got an email this morning too from Macy's telling me to remove my discontinued items but when I logged on, nothing there was actually discontinued!

The bulk of my registry is at BBB. They had my china at both BBB and Macy's, but actually went with BBB because there was a significant price difference between them (at regular price, not on sale). Maybe see if BBB or another major store has the same pattern and make a quick registry there? Even if the only thing on it is your china...

I'm registered w/ them also, but don't really have too much dinnerware, so nothing discontinued to date.

i haven't had this happen yet, but i was engaged once before and i had registered at BBB and it happened to me there

Ummm Im fuming! I just got an email too saying to check our registry for the discontinued items... WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugh that s*cks! That's precisely why we moved everything over to the BB&B because I was constantly updating Macys when things went out of stock.

I got this email too. Thankfully it was just my candlesticks that were discontinued. That being said, the pilsner glasses my FH loves are 'no longer available for online purchase.'

i heard of china being discontinued, but i didn't realize it was other things too.. should i even bother registering at macys?

Ashley, I know what you mean! So frustrating!

As it turns out, none of my items said 'discontinued' but I have a couple that are also 'no longer available for online purchase.' I decided to leave those on because you never know, someone could find them in store!!

We did 95% of the registry at BBB and we went to Macy's for the upscale decorative items (candlesticks, photo frames, statues, trays, etc.)

I'm SOOOO mad actually! I JUST found bedding I love after a LOT of searching and now it's discontonued and there is nothing else I like grrrrrrrrrrrr

and then all of these little items..

This didn't happen nearly as often with Fortunoff. GRRRRR

The cookware I originally registered for at BBB went discontinued.

I got the email from Macys but nothing I registered for went discontinued!

I got an email too---- just my serving utensils set so far, but they matched the rest of the flatware- so I guess it's back to Macys....

Bedding is SOOO hard to pick. Did you take a look at any of the Calvin Klein bedding? It's all gorgeous in person.
