is anyone else annoyed by the fact that Macy's does not let you register for certain things/brands in the store?
I was there yesterday and some departments and certain items in the right department were not allowed on my reigstry.
Does anyone else find this annoying? I wish we could just register off the main site. Instead we have to go to the registry site.

We had the same thing....with our Italian Countryside dishes...I wanted to add some of the pieces on and I saw they were on the main site and when I went to the Bridal Registry site I couldn't find them
Why don't you e-mail Macys...and see if they respond.

its because, usually, the item is being discontinued therefore you can't register for it. I would try online, see if you can add it that way, but I wouldn't email or write a letter to Macys. Every store won't let you register for discontinued items.

i dont think its b/c they are discontinued- like i wanted a kitchen clock and the 'in habit' brand clocks on the main site has a choice of about 20 of them
if you go on the registry site, you can only pick from about 3.

yes, either some aren't always availble or they consider it seasonal

i was having this problem at first... but after trying to do a search for it on the registry site, (using that search box on the upper left of the screen) I was able to find a lot of the items I wasnt originally able to find...

I was registered at Macy's, orginally I was suppose to get married in Sept 05, so I was registered there a good 8 to 10 months..there were two things I didn't like, one, when an item was discontinued they didn't tell you, and I wasn't happy with their over-all selection, I changed to Target last month, and except for my formal china they had everything I wanted.
I think I am getting my formal china from Peter Andrews, they have a lenox set that I've only seen there.
