I was stalking just now, BAD, and went in to the thank you note manager because finally some stuff was purchased off the Macy's registry. So I saw who bought the stuff, BUT...
We used to have a bedding set on there months ago, and then we saw it in person and didn't like it, so we took it off the registry. It's now showing up under the thank you note manager saying it was purchased on 3/4/09, with this as the note under 'purchased by':
UPDATE VIA WC BY COUPLE
What does that mean??? We did not purchase it clearly. I tried googling it or looking in their FAQ and it didn't say anything. Has anyone else seen this in their registry and knows what it means?

It means it was taken off the registry by you - don't worry! I think it stands for updated via Wedding Channel by couple. That will show up every time you do anything to your registry.

I have taken things off my Macy's registry and that hasn't happened to me. There's an 888 number, they open after noon on Sunday, I would call.

Yes this is exactly what it means. I freaked out myself the first time i saw that.

I cannot believe I didn't know about the 'thank you manager' part of the website!
This is making it very hard for me to avoid stalking. I think it was easier for me to quit smoking!
Do they have a 'stop stalking' patch?

Oohhhh....ok that makes sense!
But it's still really weird, I take things off all the time online and they didn't show up as 'purchased', they just disappeared. I wonder if it makes a difference if you put '0' in the 'still need' box and hit update instead of put '0' in the 'quantity requested' box?
I'm still going to call customer service like a nut LOL.

It means it was taken off by you. Don't worry! I had taken off some items on my Macy's registry that had been purchased for me at Fortunoff's before they closed and that's what it said on the thank you note manager.
