MACYS Trunk Show

MACYS Trunk Show

So I had my first dressing trying experience.

I have tosay that i am tall so I feel like everything looked good

here is the thing

I felt pressured to put down a deposit even though I couldnt decide between two dresses.

Is there any way that I can cancel a deposit. Is it true that ANY contract has a writer recision for 3 business days?

It was 200 dollars and I know it really isnt a lot of money but still. I am such an a$$ I should have just said no. But it is so hard when they are tending to you for two hours and helping so much.

It was a contractual agreement.

Please Help!

If you didn't want to go with that dress would you be able to use that money towards another dress?

only with in the Bridal Dept. which may be ok but I still feel like not even using them.

I am not kidding on how many times I told the woman that I wasnt sure about the dress and that I didnt care about the discount.

What I should have said was NO

but it really isnt that easy.

When you go to these fittings you can not let them intimidate you. They are there for a purpose just like you. It's their job to wait on you until you are satified. Especially a place like Macy's JCP, BLOOMINGDALE WHERE THEY GET A SALARY AND COMMISSION. Call them tomorrow and get your money back and if they talk mess scare them with the ' You will be hearing from my lawyer.

I want to congratulate you first...you got to 1000!!!
Yeah!!!!!

I think that i will call them tomorrow but the woman was so helpful. I feel like such an idiot that I gave my money. I have to remember that people do say no to them....I would not have been the first.

I am so sad that I teared up a bit and I am not an emotional person in that sense.

(this is what I am saying) that is her job. She is there to help you not make you feel bad for helping you so much.

Thank you about the 1000 posting. You was one of my biggest supporters

Ask to speak to a supervisor. Let them know that the sales person did a great job but you felt pressured into leaving a deposit.

It's hard and not just with dress shopping. They need to make you trust them more than just a sales person to make that sale. And they get pushy and make you feel guilty. Just remember it's your money act like it!! Also, if you are uncomfortable with a situation then sleep on it and see how you feel.

I swear on anything that she said 'Put the money down, sleep on it and you can decide by Monday'

I was so intimidated but now I am so sad that you know what it wasnt even my money it was my moms. Thats why I feel more bad. Like I should have put the money down becuse I was the one that couldnt and didnt say no.

My mom is like me very easy going and non confrontational. I am so mad at myself. i cant even blame the lady at Macys.

I need to learn how to say no

THanks Steph.

I just need to be honest with myself so that I dont take the aggression out on a person who was just doing her job though.

Re: MACYS Trunk Show

Understand! But keep a little aggression just in case you need to bring it out so the will see that you are not playing with them. You don't have to get crazy but serious.

The lady at Macys was applying big pressure on you so you coudln't say no. It happens to many many many people. It's not your fault. They are trained to make sales!

Do you think that it will be easy to get the money back

Anyone know if it is a legal binding contract that can be cancelled?
