mad at lillette's - vent

i have complained about this before, but as its is March 30th I think I am allowed to again.

Orderd dress: 9/1/09
They said: ok so we will request it come in april
we said: no, can you please have it come in march
they said: ok, and wrote '*order to come on March' on the slip.

when i ran in there in feb and said, 'it should be here soon' they said 'no 6-8 weeks unless its being discontinued)

they flat out LIED and i have it in writing.

Its 3/30/2010 at 3:43pm and no call, no nothing

i want my dress already............

i ordered my dress from them too in september, i have the same wedding date as you. i was getting concerned b/c i have not heard anything, when i called they told me they do not get dresses in until about 6 weeks before apparently... if i dont hear anything by the end of next month im def calling back.

Oh c'mon! Its almost April! *** is their problem! I called them before regarding ordering BM dresses and the lady was so flat out rude I refused to go there!

I hope you get your dress soon!!!

definitely keep me posted since we have the same date. i am gonna call on 4/1 and remind them what they wrote on my receipt., i will let you know!

This really is so weird to me. I ordered mine in June and was told it would come in April. We asked for it to come in March. I got the call in December!!!!

Wow! I ordered my dress, not from Lillettes though, right around the same time as you and I got it last month.

i am starting to stress over it now.....

and what makes it worse is that they didn't even have my dress. i searched all over NY to just try it on, i did and went back there to order it.

This is why i think it is agood idea to lie about your wedding date to these bridal shops...I hope you get your dress soon!

I didn't order my dress at Lillette's but I wouldn't freak out yet..Stay on top of them but don't panic at this point. Stores and designers always have delays..When we ordered my mom's dress they told us 2 months...it took over 3 months to get in b/c the designer had a delay due to the holidays or something like that. But they got it us in enough time to get the alterations done. I would think that stores and designers are very mindful of your wedding date.

Sorry to hear this ladies...I worked with Geri & I was told six weeks before my wedding which should have been mid April but I got my call the beginning of this month & went in for my first fitting already.....I'm wondering if it depends on who ordered the dress for you

hmmmm......

i ordered mine through Geri in November, they said it would be in mid May................... i hope thats the case because i cant get my shoes until i try the dress on for length..........

This happened to me, I got my dress 4.5 weeks before my wedding... first fitting a month before, and last fitting a week before.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you are going through this...that's horrible and definitely stressful. I happened to actually go there today to look at bridesmaids dresses...I'm getting married in July and haven't ordered them yet...they already told me that they would have to put a rush on them....and now after reading your post I'm kind of nervous to order from them!! Ahhh, good luck to you!!

Please don't stress. Even though they request the dress at a certain time does not mean the designer can get it to the store by then.

I did not get mine from Lillettes (which I wanted to but they didn't carry my dress) and it came in 6 weeks before the wedding. I did alterations 2 weeks before.

You don't want to get fitted too soon and you don't want it sitting in the basement of a dress store for too longer either.
