Madame Paulette's & Dry Cleaning for Sample Dresses

I am considering buying a sample dress that will need to be dry cleaned and altered. Madame Paulette's was recommended to me. Has anyone gone to them for dry cleaning, preservation and a little restoration? Do you know if Madame Paulette's does alterations as well? Has anyone gone to anyone else that they would recommend as well? I already expect that I will probably pay a pretty penny for the cleaning and everything else, but I think the dress is worth it.

Thanks!

My dress was cleaned and is currently being stored with Madame Paulette's. I will be doing my alterations with them in the spring. I think my mom paid about $400 for the storage (for 3 seasons - I think that part was about $150) and the cleaning, and we used a $75 coupon as well, so that would make the cleaning about $325.

Thanks! I've gone to their website and read through the testimonials and it seems as though they will know exactly what to do. I did not know that they do storage as well, which makes a big difference and that they will do the alterations closer to the wedding.

I live one block from Madame Paulette on the Upper East Side. They are good but really expensive. I think you could find someone else to alter it who wouldn't charge as much.

Don't read too much into testimonials - every business has some good ones.

Thanks for the advice. I'm also contacting the designer to see if I get any suggestions as to who they use or prefer and asking around.
