So I set a budget for my dress which was 3000 and that was kind of the max cuz it was really 2000 cuz I didn't want to waste so much. Today I went to kleinfeld for my first dress shopping day and toild the lady 6000 cuz they were having a pnina trunk sale since I wanted to try them on for fun. And I fell in love with a Kenneth Pool dress like real love and it was way over. Ughhh now I hope I find something cheaper I still like and if not am going to hjave to buy it. I'm on my phone so let me see if I can attach the pic here. If not ill do it fronm home
Ok I put the pic in album. I mean the price is only 5400 but I really didn't want to spend so much. But I hjave a few maggie soterro I wasn't to try so let's see. But the style of the kenneth is what I want

try to do a dress search online for similar dresses and maybe you can find one close to the look and to the price range..

omg, i felt the same way!! I tried on a $12k Pnina Tornai dress and now I want to push the wedding off for another year til I can afford it! Don't worry, you'll find something in a similar style!
its gorgeous, I think you can find a very very similar dress for cheaper, just keep your eye out.

The dress is very pretty but 12k omgggggggg lol go to my designer she does have 12k dress but she also has beautiful ones for half that and her dress are custom!!

I LOVE that dress on you. My dres kinda looks similar only i has a one shoulder strap and the bottom dosn't have the pick ups and cost me under 1000. Check out allurebridals.com!!! They look a thousand times better on real people an wth skirt under to give it a lil poof

If you really love the dress...I'd try to work it into your budget. See if you can save money elsewhere.

If you really love the dress try and see if you can save money elsewhere so you can fit it in to yur busget... IMHO you can find something similar for much less. You're really just paying for the name.

the dress is pretty and all but i would never in a million years spend $5400 on a dress you will wear for a few hours. there are so many other aspects of the wedding that you can spend it on. i would look for a similar style and just stick to your budget. you may regret going over budget down the line when you come across something else you cant afford because of splurging on a dress

I did the same thing!!! I was not at kleinfelds but i tried on a dress that was over budget and i loved it Now i compare all dresses to that one and I havent been happy with anything else that I have found...yet. I am still searching and will do more shopping in the next month or two because after looking online there are a lot of similar styles out there. They may not be exactly the same to what you fell in love with but if you find something similar in your budget perhaps you can have them do some alterations to make it similar to the one you love. I am being optimistic for us both...we will find something in budget that we love as much....we have plenty of time! good luck

The dress is gorgeous, but if you're worried about price, I really think you have a good chance of finding something comparable and cheaper.
I went to this place in Clifton NJ which isnt too far - Roma Bridals and they had a HUGE selection. No tax and free alterations. They can also take the bottom of one dress and the other half of another and basically create what you want. It's not where I bought mine, but they were HUGE.
