Finally! I've been engaged for 4 months, and I've finally made my first appointment to book something! FH and I are going up to the inn 2 weekends from now to book it for our wedding! The owners are putting us up for the night and we're going to go over the contract proposal and put down a deposit.
The owner wanted to know if we wanted to do our tasting then as well, but I think that might be too much too soon for me!

It's a country inn in Connecticut in the foothills of the Berkshires. We're going to have a 'Wedding Weekend' up there from Fri. night to Sunday, where everyone will stay over at the inn for a night or two, and there will be tons of stuff to do, like hiking, kayaking, swimming in the lake, etc., with just a really cool party in the middle. We went to a wedding like that in Maine a couple of years ago when we had only been dating for a few months, and it was one of the most fun weekends we've ever had.

You might want to have our tasting while you are there just so you know what the food is like. It would be horrible if you fell in love with the place, booked the place and then find out later on that the food isn't up to your liking. Just thought I'd point that out, Have fun!

ARRGGH! That's something I hadn't thought about.
I guess you're right, we shouldn't just trust that since the place is pretty that the food is good.
