Maggie Brides

Did anyone order a petite? if so how tall are you? I am 5'5 and a shop I went to told me they would order my dress in the petite length, which scares me (I like everything long) I wont be wearing shoes higher than 3.5 inches....

dont do it!!! I am also 5'5' and they told me that I could get the petite but there is something like a 3 inch allowance that maggie has so it could come in at the perfect length...or it could be up to 3 inches too short. my place said its not worth chancing it bc to shorten it is much easier then to make it longer.

I went to lillettes and they failed to mention the 3 inch allowance, it's crazy that its that much of a difference, do you mind sharing where you went? I haven't ordered just yet lol

i did too. im 5'2. and dont plan on wearing high high heels. the dress i tried on was SUPERRRRRR long on me.

Hmm I wouldn't order petite. I tried on many Maggies and came close to ordering- they never mentioned that- especially since you're gonna be in high heels. Because of the amount of design on your dress I would think they'd order it 'hollow to hem' where they measure you exactly with your shoes. That's what I did.

I went to Lilettes too...working with Gerri! I am going back on Sunday to officially place the order. She had not mentioned it to me the first time I met her, but when i told her i wanted the dress and she started to take my measurements that is when she mentioned the 3inches. I left a deposit but did not place the order bc i had hoped to lose some weight. I will reconfirm with her Sunday about the length but she seemed to think with my height of 5'5' that it was better to be safe and shorten it then end up with a dress ankle length lol

I'm 5'3. They estimated 3 inch heels and ordered me the regular length.

if you dont mind wearing shorter heels, then do it!

i did it cuz i said i didnt care if i had to buy shoes that were only 2 inches (im 5'3)...turns out that they ordered the petite, and i still wound up wearing 4.5 inch heels

so if you are insisting on a certain heel height, dont do it!!! if you dont really care, do it.
