Did you or are you not wearing a bra under your dress?
I am a DDD cup and the salon ordered my dress a size too small so I can't wear a bra under my dress (the bra pushes me up too far and I spill over). So the salon is telling me to go braless. Is this normal? I've never gone braless and this is really stressing me out! I don't want to look like a hootchie on my wedding day!

I wasnt going to wear a bra... but I am not so big in that department so I am wearing th ebackless bra from VS. If I was you, I would go braless... you will be more comfortable than having your boobies poppin out.

It is a corset back but since I am so big on top, the corset is so far apart when you lace it up. I almost have to wear my hair down as to not draw attention to the corset.

why dont you say something to the salon? why did they order it a size too small? and since you say you are big on top, wouldnt they think that you would want to get a bra? i suggest making a fuss and having them order the next size up if the back of the corset looks like that.

Re: Maggie Sottero Girls
As a former DDD (had a reduction 4 years ago) I can TOTALLY understand your concern. I am now a 38D and I tried several Maggie dresses on this weekend. I felt a thrill of excitement knowing that I could go braless and feel confident - ( I have been waiting for the day I could try on strapless wedding gowns ever since my surgery!)
I think that the Maggie Dress with the corset back is the way to go – I think you will feel secure and comfortable braless. I personally think that the wider in the corset the better, you do want it to be shown off, don’t you? However, a good way to judge if it just isn’t fitting right is to look at the side seams. If they line up directly in your middle of you armpit or side, the dress is the right fit, if the seam is closer to your front - it is too small, that may be the case in your situation which is why the corset is so wide.

Im a D went braless & it was fine. They did an 'ease' on the top of the dress so people wouldnt see down my dress either.
But I had a corset back so it kept me in tightly.

they put a panel in the back of the corset, so i really don't think you will drawing attention the your back. I def say go braless...I on the other hand an wearing a bra under my maggie dress, I need something to push up what god gave me

I didn't wear a Maggie, but I had a similiar style. I am a 36D and I didn't wear a bra and you couldn't tell with the corset back
Although....toward the end of the night, when the corest loosened a little, I did get a little nervous I'd go all Janet Jackson, but I just would make sure. And this was at like 11:30 when the reception ended at midnight.

I don't think I am wearing a bra, just having the cups sewn in. I am going to decide for sure at the fitting though. I think I will be more comfortable without one!!

I think I am going to wait to see at the first fitting before I decide.

I totally agree with this. I am wearing a maggie and although I am no where close to your size, I would say if the salon does nothing to help you then just go braless.....if you wear a bra you may just be worry about your boobies all night, ya know

I'm a 34DD (or so they told me at the corset shop ) & I decided to go w/ a longline bra, mainly b/c I thought I'd feel 'flattened' w/ no bra, but that's just me. I think you will be more than comfortable and it holds you in so tight, you'll be fine.
What Maggie is it?

Karen:
To clarify, I don't know that they ordered the wrong size, but they measured me and ordered a size 14 which is a 39' bust. I thought nothing of it, but when I measured my bust recently, it's 41'. So I think they should have ordered a size 16 dress. I look okay in the size they ordered but my boobies are more smushed together than I'd like them to be. I am just frustrated b/c my bridal salon is not being helpful at all b/c they think I look fine. Well, I don't feel 100% comfortable, and I think my opinion matters the most!!!!!

Re: Maggie Sottero Girls
I had cups put into my Maggie dress. Plus since the corset is already built in I am not wearing any undergarment, like a girdle. I am just wearing my panties underneath. Screw the panty hose!
I love Maggie dresses!

Re: Maggie Sottero Girls
Corset back dresses are fine to go braless with.
I, personally, am wearing a bra under my Maggie....but if you have that issue, go braless. I think you will still look lovely...no hootchie at all.
