Maggie Sottero Grace RP from 07 and BHB

My gown is 'grace' in light gold with the diamond white lace overlay

my question is - What color veil did you get? im not sure if i should get ivory because of how the light gold looks mixed together with the diamond white, or jut a diamond white veil since it will be next to the lace and match

my dress does not come in until october, but i would like to order my veil before then

any help is appreciated

Theres no good way to answer this without seeing the dress/veil combo. Your probably better off waiting or calling around to see if any shop has a sample in that color combo.

A diamond white veil may look ok depending on the thickness of the lace in the dress.

well, the diamond white is the lace overlay, so that is the top layer
the light gold is underneath so im not sure if enough gold shows through to make a difference in the combo of colors

i may do what u said and call the store

that's stupid. What did your retailer say about it?

Laura - what color is the lace? When you say gold, does that refer to the material below the lace? Or is the lace a goldish color?

My dress is also a goldish/champagne. I think I'm going to do off-white if I do a veil at all. I think white might be too bold a contrast...?

the lace overlay is diamond white
the light gold satin is underneath the lace, but it peeks through

ok laura, I found some biotch on the maggie sottero website, you can't really see her veil but I thought this might help

well thank you bonnie. I think the girl in the first picture has an ivory veil and I think I might like it a little better but it's hard to tell. I think the pictures show that the veil doesn't have to match the dress exactly to look good. That's my words of wisdom for the night, my brain hurts.

Yeah, I think its not a big deal.

I've recently been thinking I want all white flowers...and I got concerned that it would look bad b/c my dress isn't white - so it'll clash.

I think either way is good, Laura.
