maid of honor

How difficult was it for you to pick a maid of honor??? Was anyone's feelings hurts? Do u have more than one?

I think it's easier when you only have 1 sister like I do bc it makes it easy to pick your MOH (for me, it's her) but if I didn't have a sister or I had more than one sister I think I would have a very difficult time picking! I guess you could always have more than one but even then it's hard to decide among friends who to pick. I knew I'd pick my sis and she'd pick me.

I have 2 sisters, one is older than me and one is only 12. So, my older sister is the matron of honor and the younger one is the Jr. Maid of Honor.

I'm also having a very hard time. Is it ok to just have bridesmaids and no maid of honor?

yes it's ok. you can do whatever you want. If you're having it in church though, I know they will ask you who are your maid of honor and bestman. They write that stuff down on your folder. Don't know what for yet. Maybe they have to sign something? Maybe they are witnesses? I don't know. Just keep in mind you might have to pick someone to do the official signing of whatever.

It wasn't difficult at all. My maid of honor is my sister & my matron of honor is my best friend & former roommate from college. All of my friends know that we're beyond close so no one was upset or caught off guard.

I may have an issue. I haven't officially asked my girls yet, but originally I was going to have 2 MOH's. My one friend basically told me a few months before I got engaged that she couldn't be in my wedding because she was already MOH in 2 other weddings, going to be a bm in another wedding and she'd be tired and tapped out. I felt really bad. She also kinda dropped out of sight. So I decided that she wouldn't be a MOH, just a bm. Now she's telling people that she's one of the MOH's...so I dunno what's going to happen when she finds out she's only a BM

It was so hard for me!! I have a sister and a best friend who is like a sister to me. I wanted to have them both but my sister was giving me a hard time so luckily for me my BFF is an angel didn't make me feel bad

I picked my sister. She is my bestest friend. I had some friends I was thinking about having in. But inside of insulting one I insulted them all! I'm just having his three sisters as bms. But I'm not gonna lie it would of been nice to have a nonsibling bm!

I only have one sister, so it was easy for me. However, I'm in a 'group' of girls who are all friends from college. I only asked 2 to be in my wedding. If this caused drama, I'm not aware of it. I think there may have been a little tension when they first found out, but it quickly resolved itself.

Mine was pretty easy, it was my younger sister. I have two older sisters and they're not in the bridal party and no one was offended.

I'm doing this. I have no sisters or close female relatives. I didn't want to separate my girl friends like that. FH also had trouble because he has two brothers and couldn't pick - but one of them asked about it a bunch of times so he will probably be the 'official' best man. We aren't getting married in church so it really doesn't mean anything honestly, they will all be up there equally.

Me too. My 3 BMs are my 3 closest friends from high school and having one above the others was out of the question for us. FH has the same problem with his guys so it was a nobrainer for us to just scrap the whole title issue

Anyone see the episode of say yes bridesmaids with the maid plus matron of honor

Re: maid of honor

I had two. Originally one and she was unhelpful so I added the other. Honestly, your bridal party aren't all gonna be helpful so it's best not worrying about whose feelings well get hurt and just concentrating on who will be the most helpful. As the process goes along you'll understand why I say that.
