By the time my wedding is here, my MOH will be married. So technically that makes her 'matron' of honor. But she'll only be 26 and she thinks 'matron' sounds old! I def see her point. So would it be a huge faux pax (def not spelt right) to still write 'maid' of honor on programs and such or does it have to be 'matron'?

It can be whatever you want, its your day...IMO I don't think matron sounds old its just what they call married maid of honors

Re: maid or matron
the only time i actually saw someone use 'matron' was when a friend of mine had a woman who was like a mother to her in her wedding. she was easily in hger fifties... and was the 'matron of honor.' the rest of the BM's were all in our 20s and 30s... some married and some not and we were 'maids.' technically, you're a matron if you're married, but I would go with 'maid.' it's more common...
