Hey Guys! FH and I live in Chicago but our wedding is in Westbury. I will be flying in about a week before the big day and I am pretty sure I will have LOTS of stuff to pack and bring with me. FH wont come until about 2 days before the wedding. Well, my dress is seriously heavy! I was thinking about packaging my dress and sending it UPS to NY about 2 weeks before the wedding so that I don't have to drag it all around O'Hare and Laguardia! Also, if it gets there early enough, I wont have to worry about getting it steamed in time.
BUT, as easy as that would be....I would still totally panic if it got lost or something...So, I guess what I wanna know is....
If you were me, would you risk it?
TIA!

Re: Mail my wedding dress? Poll! Help please!
send your clothes UPS and just bring the dress with you as a carry on with no luggage.
When I went to vegas the flight attendants were so nice to the bride on our plane she hung the dress up in the pilots closet for her.

Yea...I think I will take it with me....all 20 lbs of it! FH didn't seem to like the idea of shipping the dress either.

Some airports let wedding partied board first. So You may have a slightly easier task. I think I would carry it with me. I agree ship your luggage. You can always buy more bars and a toot brush
