Mailing 12x12 paper

How can I mail 12x12 paper without it bending???

I mailed some slightly folded over w/a rubber band like a newspaper.............. twice I checked on it and it unfolded fine.................

I think if a part didnt if someone puts a book on top it will flatten out but I dont even think that will be necessary everytime I checked it it did not seem bent at all
