Mailing labels

Mailing labels

I am trying sooo hard to do the mailing labels so that I can finally send out the Save the Date magnets that have been bugging me for weeks. Two problems:
1. Lost one sheet because the Staples package that it came in had the wrong 'compatibility with Avery' codes -- so it was waaaay off.
2. Lost another sheet. Finally got the size right, but a basic address just won't fit and Word won't let me change the font size.
Please help -- I'm overwhelmed in general and can't sleep which is making this all the more difficult and frustrating. I want to say screw it and get a nice markery pen thingamabobber and do it that way. Am I nuts? Somehow all this stress about mailing labels and envelopes just doesn't seem worth it.
I give up...

Re: Mailing labels

Did you make an excel spreadsheet of addresses or are you just typing each address individually in word??

I think using Word might be issue here.. trying using excel and it is a bit easier when it comes down to labels..

Re: Mailing labels

try printing it out just on regular paper and hold the paper against the label sheet up on the light and see if it fits ... goodluck!

Update: I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't go to sleep until after 6 a.m., but I figured it out and did it! I am so happy to finally be able to mail those out! I had just about given up and FH is great at a lot of stuff -- just not computer stuff.

Thanks for offering your suggestions!

Re: Mailing labels

I did my STD's by hand with the markery thingamabob too
It's a little time consuming but if you cant get the label thing to do what you want, there's nothing wrong with doing it the old fashioned way.
Some people think it's even more personal a touch to do it by hand!!
