I know this has been the topic of conversation more than once - but has anyone mailed an invitation with a rhinestone buckle in an envelope? Was it a disaster? Did it work? Did you have them hand cancelled?

Re: Mailing rhinestone buckles
Checkout my daughter's review. It has a copy of her invitation 040508bride. Her post office did not hand cancel her invitations and all the outside addresses were smudged and the envelope looked terrible. It was very upsetting, considering the cost of the invitations.

Re: Mailing rhinestone buckles
You have to have them hand cancelled but also mailed as a parcel = $$. I just found this out. I just mailed mine. Having them shipped as a parcel ensures that they do not go through any type of machine therefore there is no risk that they are going to get risk. Good luck. FM me if you have any other questions.

What is hand cancelLing?[/QUOTE
The Post Office doesn't send it through any machines .. it helps so there is no damage to anything in the envelope....rhinestone buckle etc...
Although it does cost more, not sure how much i haven't taken mine in yet to do a trial.

Re: Mailing rhinestone buckles
i just wanted to bump this bc ive gotten a ton of calls that my invites came and had NO problems at all
I had them hand cancelled (which means they stamp each one by hand and they dont go through the stamping machine)
So as of now, none of them got ripped or ruined from the buckle

My invitations had rhinestone buckles and they just had to get hand canceled...everything was sent and received perfectly so you shouldn't have anything to worry about!

Re: Mailing rhinestone buckles
I had to send mine parcel mail. I spoke to the man at the post office and i was originally just going to get them hand cancelled except he explained that the receiving post offices put them thru a machine. If you send them parecel mail they get hand cancelled at both post offices. Mine were $1.40 each to send parcel but so worth it. We havent had any problems.
