Mailing Save the Date Magnets

Everyone keeps telling me that I should have sent mine out already. I've had them sitting on my desk for a few months now but I figured I'd mail them either late May or early June. Which is...NOW!
EEK!
My question is... how do i send them? I ordered magnets from vistaprint and I have no idea how to mail them out.
Should i attach them to index cards?
Do I include a note with them? If so, what should it say?
What size envelope should I use? Can I use a regular envelope or should I get heavy duty or fancy ones?
I have no idea what to do! Please Help!!

Are you having an engagement party? I just put mine in the envelope w/ the invitations.

If not, try to find small (note card sized) envelopes to send them in.

we're not having an engagement party.

do you know where i'd be able to find note card sized envelopes without having to by notecards?

We;re going to mail them out with a newsletter (if you have a mac they have great publishing templates for newsletters) or you can do it on a pc

Were going to fold the newsletter and put the hotel card and save the date magnet inside. then send them out in a regular size envelope.

My friend did that, and it workd out great! Plus people like to book the hotel early on too.

We definately don't have enough going on in our lives or enough plans done for the wedding weekend yet to do a newsletter but that idea is really cool! I'd love to get one of those.
